AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company Limited (AAICLAS) was established on August 11, 2016, as a subsidiary of the Airports Authority of India. It was created to enhance India’s logistics infrastructure and air cargo capabilities, particularly in response to the growing demands of international trade and rapid delivery services. Its mission is to operate as a multi-modal logistics provider, integrating air, land, and sea transport systems. By facilitating the movement of express and general cargo, it plays a vital role in handling temperature-sensitive goods, pharmaceuticals, perishable items, and hazardous materials, offering a range of specialized services across India. 

It was set up as a strategic response to India’s fast-growing economy and expanding manufacturing sector, bolstered by initiatives like ‘Make in India.’ With a vision to be the country’s foremost integrated logistics network operator, it is focused on modernizing cargo handling at metro and non-metro airports. Its initiatives also extend to developing domestic air cargo through common-user domestic terminals, thereby fostering a more efficient supply chain that contributes to India’s global competitiveness. It seeks to link air, surface, and water transport, becoming one of India’s fastest and most networked logistics providers. 

It aims to handle 1.25 million tonnes of air cargo and achieve a turnover of INR 7500 million by 2022-23. The company also plans to establish at least one operational Free Trade Warehousing Zone.

Its operations encompass a broad spectrum of services, including Cargo Terminal Operations and Inland Container Depots, making it a comprehensive logistics hub. The company focuses on leveraging high technology and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and ensure smooth cargo handling. Additionally, it actively promotes the development of Free Trade Zones to encourage trade flow and economic opportunities.
