The third-largest private sector bank in India has seen remarkable growth and innovation since its inception in 1994. Promoted by a consortium of prominent institutions such as the Specified Undertaking of Unit Trust of India (SUUTI), Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), and several others, the bank has carved a niche for itself in the financial sector. 

This year, the bank focused on growth, technology, and customer-centric solutions. It introduced a digital banking platform offering a range of features, including a mobile app with a unique “One-View” feature, allowing customers to manage their finances across various banks effortlessly. The bank has also been at the forefront of technological advancements, becoming the first to launch UPI interoperability on its Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) app and the first to offer digital US dollar fixed deposits for NRI customers at GIFT City, Gujarat. A major initiative to support MSMEs was the launch of “NEO for Business,” a comprehensive digital solution to address the modern banking needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. 

With the opening of 125 new offices during the quarter, the bank has increased its nationwide branch count to 5,377. An large CSC VLE network and 2,482 Bharat Bank branches have strengthened their position in rural and semi-urban markets. The bank has operations in Singapore, Dubai, and London, among other places, and offers a broad range of services from wealth management to corporate loans.
